Event approval requests may now be submitted

As of January 21, event approval requests may now be submitted for review and approval by PHRT for events planned after February 28. Event organizers are asked to continue to monitor public health measures, incorporate continuity elements within their event plans and be ready to adapt to changing restrictions. If you have a pending request, please resubmit it to phrtinfo@ualberta.ca.

Changes to activation triggers of PHRT

The Case or Outbreak of COVID-19 on U of A Campus page was updated on January 19 to reflect new activation triggers of the Rapid Response Plan and the PHRT Triage Team. It also reflects the most updated information related to isolation periods, processes for notification of residence cases and Sick Employee and Sick Students procedures.

Return to campus reminder

The university is currently planning to resume in-person courses on February 28. While all instructors and students with approved in-person courses will be returning to campus, February 28 will not be a full return to campus for employees. Only employees who are required in-person to ensure successful operational delivery are expected to return, and should have received notice. An updated timeline for a phased return to campus for all other employees will be shared soon.

Please continue to check your U of A inbox and uab.ca/covid19 for updates. The next regular COVID-19 update is scheduled for February 11.
