Masks are strongly recommended on campus

While masks are no longer required on University of Alberta properties, they are still strongly recommended in high-traffic and high-occupancy areas and when working in close proximity to others–including exam rooms. As masks will be worn based on personal preference, it is important for all community members to be respectful of personal choices in work and learning environments.

Free masks are available on campus

Free medical masks will be available at large exam venues, including the Universiade Pavilion (Butterdome), Main Gymnasium and Education Gymnasium on North Campus, the gymnasium at Campus Saint-Jean and the gymnasium at Augustana.

Free N95 masks are also available at a number of locations across our campuses, and are now available at Augustana and South Campus. Learn about where you can get free masks on campus »
