Access to the Henry Marshall Tory Building and Alberta School of Business Building during atrium door upgrade

Learn how to access these buildings while the atrium between them undergoes upgrades for accessibility.

The Henry Marshall Tory Building atrium will be undergoing construction to upgrade the doors to meet current accessibility code requirements. Construction will occur from May to August 2026 and will affect access to the Henry Marshall Tory Building (Tory).

Door Outage Timeline

  • May 4– June 5: North Main Floor Doors
  • May 4–August 15: West Atrium Entrance Doors
  • June 1—July 2: Basement Doors
  • June 25—July 31: East Atrium Main Floor Atrium Doors
  • June 26—July 22: West Atrium Breezeway Doors
  • July 15—August 25: East Level 2 Pedway Doors to HUB Mall

The Tory Building can be accessed via exterior entrances on the north and east sides of the building through the Tory breezeway entrances. The northwest breezeway entrance and elevator at the west end of the breezeway will provide barrier-free access to the Tory Building. See maps below for more information.

Your ONEcard may be required for access during and after business hours. Please ensure you have your valid ONEcard with you at all times to guarantee smooth access to buildings and facilities. Don’t allow someone to follow behind you or hold doors open to areas that are locked or require ONEcard access. If you are studying or working late, you can contact Safewalk to book an escort across or from North Campus. Contact protective services outside Safewalk’s hours.
