Whether you’re commuting between campuses, hauling goods or accessing rugged terrain while doing field work, there is a fleet vehicle to meet your needs.

Transportation Services is excited to announce the return of short-term vehicle rentals. Effective immediately, rentals of less than seven days are once again available through our newly launched short-term rental program, featuring an updated fee schedule to better meet your transportation needs.

Before renting a vehicle, drivers must be authorized to drive a U of A fleet vehicle and must understand the policies for ensuring the safety of the driver, passengers and others sharing the road. Learn more »

The U of A fleet has over 200 vehicles, including SUVs, pickup trucks, passenger vans and cargo vans.

  • Rates are set annually and include fuel + insurance
  • Trailer-towing is permitted
  • Speedcode is accepted
  • 24-hour cancellation

Fuel cards

Fleet fuel cards are provided depending on the length and distance of a trip. They can be used to purchase fuel at all major retailers in Canada, or to pay for maintenance work up to $200. Remember to keep your receipt for each purchase and to record each transaction on your credit card expense report.

A fleet fuel card may only be used toward fuel and maintenance on the vehicle for which it was issued.
