Cote Cardio-Oncology Graduate Studentship

The Cancer Research Institute of Northern Alberta (CRINA) is pleased to offer a graduate studentship in cardio-oncology. This award is generously supported by the Cote family.

Eligibility

  • The student must be conducting research on the prevention, detection, monitoring, or treatment of cardiovascular disease in patients with cancer, or the effects of cancer-related therapies on the cardiovascular system. Broad areas of interest include disease mechanisms, in vitro and in vivo model systems, novel and conventional therapeutics, epidemiology, precision medicine, and primary and secondary prevention.
  • Student and supervisor must be members of CRINA at the time of application
  • Student must not have exceeded 2 years of an MSc program or 6 years of a PhD program as of September 2026 (excluding official leaves of absence)
  • Student must not be on academic probation
  • Student must be in a thesis based program
  • Award can be held with other awards as long as the total amount of awards does not exceed $30,000 per year (MSc students) or $40,000 per year (PhD students)

Value + Duration

$30,000 for one year.
