CRINA Association of Research Trainees

CRINA Association of Research Trainees (CAR-T) is a student-led group within the Cancer Research Institute of Northern Alberta. The group is dedicated to building a supportive community and boosting professional development for cancer research trainees at the University of Alberta. Whether you’re looking to strengthen your academic skills, connect with the community, or unwind with fellow trainees, CAR-T has something for you!

Build your research skills and prepare for the next stage of your career

The CAR-T Academic Committee hosts seminars, panel discussions, workshops, and visiting speaker events.

Inspire the next generation of scientists

The CAR-T Outreach Committee shares its passion for cancer research with the Edmonton community through engaging presentations and hands-on activities for elementary students through DiscoverE and USchool.

Unwind and connect with your peers

The CAR-T Social Committee organizes regular social events to help trainees connect outside the lab—from game nights and holiday celebrations to an annual summer BBQ.
