Congratulations to the East Asian Studies students who competed in the annual Japanese Speech Contests

Congratulations to East Asian Studies students Raj Prasad, Elham Sajedi, and Tristan Kwan for their achievements in the 35th Alberta District Japanese Speech Contest which took place on March 7, 2026. Elham Sajedi won first place in the Beginner category, Tristan Kwan placed 3rd in the Intermediate category, and Raj Prasad was the 3rd place winner in the Advanced category. 

As a first place winner, Elham Sajedi was invited to compete in the 37th Canadian National Japanese Speech Contest and was the 3rd place winner in the beginner category.
