Graduate Programs

Our graduate degrees provide the analytical and quantitative skills needed to pursue careers in government, finance, academia, and a variety of other organizations.  We offer three graduate programs:

Graduates of our MA programs move to careers in a variety of public and private sector organizations including federal, provincial, and municipal governments, ATB Financial, Scotiabank, and the Bank of China. Those continuing their education enter PhD programs at Queens, Simon Fraser, and McMaster Universities, as well as the Universities of Alberta, Bologna, and California, Davis.

Graduates from our PhD program have found academic and post-doctoral positions in Canada, Europe, and China. Graduates have also moved to careers in the public and private sector, including provincial governments and financial institutions.

We typically have around 40 students in our programs with faculty and students researching in a range of applied microeconomics fields, macroeconomics, and econometrics.
