The Student Engagement Leadership Program is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience, enhance your skills and contribute to your campus community. As a student leader, you will work alongside faculty members, staff and fellow students to support initiatives that promote wellness and the transition to university life.

Roles
Senior Leader
- Must be in their third year or greater of Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree program and have participated in the 2024-25 Student Engagement Leadership program cohort
- Participates in required events (see below)
- Provide peer-to-peer mentorship to incoming first-year students and guidance to junior leaders entering the program
Junior Leader
- Must be in their second year or greater of the Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree program
Requirements
Student leaders complete a minimum of 30 volunteer hours between August and April, participating in the following required events:
- New Student Orientation: Friday, Aug. 29
- Open House: Saturday, Oct. 18
In order to reach the 30-hour minimum, student leaders will have the opportunity to volunteer for student engagement initiatives including:
- First-year nights
- Health and wellness events
- High school outreach and recruitment sessions
- Peer-to-peer mentorship with first year engineering students (senior leaders only)
Student leaders who complete a total of 30 volunteer hours between August and April are eligible to receive a reference letter from the Faculty of Engineering.

Interviews: Mar. 10 - 31
Decisions released: Apr. 1 - 4
