We are proud to share that David Goa has recently been awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal—an honour established to commemorate the coronation of King Charles III and presented to outstanding individuals of all ages and backgrounds who have made exceptional contributions to their communities.
David was nominated for this prestigious medal by the Lieutenant Governor of Alberta in recognition of his lifelong dedication to public service, scholarship, and community engagement. He is the founding director of the Chester Ronning Centre for the Study of Religion and Public Life at the University of Alberta’s Augustana Campus. A respected scholar, writer, and public intellectual, David Goa is widely known for his profound contributions to the understanding of religious traditions, cultural identity, and interfaith dialogue in contemporary society.
To celebrate this remarkable achievement, we invite you to join us for a reception in David’s honour on May 21st in Camrose.
