Join us on September 25 for a groundbreaking event that is changing the way we talk about and understand (peri)menopause in the workplace.

This powerful and eye-opening event will explore how (peri)menopause impacts women’s careers and, more importantly, how we can all play a role in supporting their success. It is not just about awareness. It is about sparking conversations, breaking down barriers, and learning practical ways that both men and women can champion women in the workplace.

We encourage you to bring colleagues, leaders, and allies who can influence positive change. The more voices involved, the greater the impact. Men are highly encouraged to attend.

The evening will include:

  • The viewing of a video illustrating the realities of navigating this critical life stage at work
    • directed by Firdaus Kharas, OC, of Chocolate Moose Media
    • received a Silver MUSE Creative Award in the Workplace Culture category
  • A panel discussion will bring together leading scholars and practitioners in women’s health facilitated by Shazma Charania
    • Panelists include Dr. Nese Yuksel, Vice Dean of the University of Alberta’s Faculty of Pharmacy, President of the Canadian Menopause Society, and founder of a high-tech menopause-related business venture; Dr. Jennifer Jennings, Professor at the Alberta School of Business, whose research focuses on perimenopause and menopause in the workplace; and Dr. Esnielle Brooks, founder of the Menopause Clinic in Red Deer.
  • Interactive stations where you can share your experiences and help imagine what more supportive workplaces could look like
  • Networking opportunities with fellow attendees over hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar

Together, with you, we will explore creative solutions to challenges faced by women navigating this critical life stage in their careers.
