Cathy Roozen began her career in finance after earning her bachelor of commerce degree from the University of Alberta. She quickly moved into investments, eventually taking the helm of the family business — Cathton Investments — where she has guided a diverse portfolio through decades of economic change and the complexities of family succession.

Known for her disciplined approach to growth and her ability to empower those around her, Roozen has become one of Alberta’s most respected corporate directors, serving on the boards of major organizations including Shaw Communications, Corus Entertainment, EPCOR, and Melcor Developments.

For Roozen, being a leader has always extended beyond business. Through her leadership in health care and civic affairs, she has given back to the very place where she built her career — helping strengthen the province and the Albertans who call it home. A member of the Alberta Order of Excellence and the Order of Canada, her career reflects a belief that leadership is ultimately about building trust, bringing people together and leaving a lasting impact for the next generation.
