GREEN+GOLD Spirit Game: Football Home Opener

Join us for this first GREEN+GOLD Spirit Day event of the school year!

On Friday, September 4, the Golden Bears take on the Regina Rams at Foote Field—and U of A students get in free. 

Join in starting at 4:30 p.m. for tailgate party festivities including a DJ, food trucks, game face face-painting, airbrush tattoos, lawn games, giveaways and a free GREEN+GOLD t-shirt for the first 500 new first-year students (until supplies last).

Game kickoff is at 6:30PM

Getting to the Game - Students in Edmonton

Taking Transit to the Game

Edmonton-based students are strongly encouraged to take public transit to the game. Fall UPASS is in effect starting August 25th. So, if you already have your Arc Card connected and registered, you’re good to go! Board the LRT at University Station or Jubilee/Health Sciences on a southbound train (Century Park) and get off at the South Campus stations.

Group Travel to the Game

Don’t want to travel alone? Coming solo? Meet in the parking lot at Lister Hall at 4 p.m. to head over to Foote Field with the Students' Union on the LRT. Look for the UASU reps carrying Golden Bear flags.

Getting to the Game - Augustana Campus Students

Get to the game (and back!) with the Augustana Students’ Association! Just register in advance for the 3:30pm or 5:15pm bus on their website.

Staff-specific Information

All University of Alberta full-time staff are eligible for a 35% discount on general admission tickets (up to 5 tickets per staff member) for all GREEN+GOLD Spirit Games. Full-time staff must use their U of A CCID email address to sign-into Ticketmaster (which may require creation of a new account with the CCID email address.) Have questions?
