Kinesiology - Practicum Placement
Overview
Practicum placements are a mandatory component of the Bachelor of Kinesiology (BKin), Bachelor of Arts in Recreation, Sport & Tourism (BARST), or Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (BScKin) degree programs within the Faculty of Kinesiology, Sport & Recreation. Practicum placements allow students a chance to gain work experience that aligns with their area of study concentration or personal learning objectives. Practicum placement opportunities are primarily educational, yet function as an opportunity for learning and working experience. This practicum placement is specific to KSR undergraduate students admitted prior to September 2024.
Benefits
Through practicum placement experiences, students are able to gain valuable supervised hands-on learning and working experience with a relevant agency. Among many other benefits, practicum placements allow students to build confidence, develop technical and transferable skills, create professional relationships and explore potential career options.
