Length of Program
All components of the certificate must be completed within 4 years of enrollment from first registration for the certificate.
Schedule: Part-Time, Bisynchronous
Approx Workload: 5 - 10 Hours/Week
Average Time to Complete: 1 Year

Students are required to complete four 3-unit courses for a total of 12 units.
Required Courses (6 units)
- EDU 520 - Theoretical and Professional Foundations of School Leadership
- EDU 521 - School Leadership: Theory and Practice
Elective Courses (6 units)
Students must complete two of the following:
- EDU 523 - System Leadership: Theory and Practice
- EDU 530 - First Nations, Métis and Inuit Issues for School Leaders
- EDU 550 - Rural Education Issues and Advantages
- EDU 551 - Working with Stakeholders in Rural Educational Contexts
- EDU 596 - Special Topics in Educational Leadership
