2026 INTERDISCIPLINARY CONFERENCE: "MEMORY AND NARRATIVE: NAVIGATING CONNECTION & CONTENTION"

The conference will feature a number of graduate students from U of A sharing their research and visiting researchers from various institutions, including: Brown University, NYU, The Slovak Academy of Sciences, Waterloo University, University of Ottawa, McMaster University, Queens University, Loyola University of Chicago, McGill University, Simon Fraser University, University of Saskatchewan, Carleton University, University of Manitoba, and York University.

Keynote Lecture: Friday, March 6, Business 2-09, 4-5:30 p.m.
We are happy to announce that our keynote speaker is David Dean, distinguished research professor from Carleton University and eminent scholar on Memory and Narrative studies. He will give a lecture titled "Connecting with Contentious Pasts: Performing Early Modern British Witchcraft in the Present."
Roundtable Table Seminar: Saturday, March 7, Business 2-09, 4-6 p.m.
Our roundtable will feature Dominique Reill, Yigal Bronner, Alexander Marcus, McKelvey Kelly, with an engaging focus on Research Methodologies.
Charcuterie Extravaganza: Friday, March 6, Tory 2-58, 5:30-8:30 p.m.
We are excited to note that Dr. James White has generously agreed to continue our Charcuterie Extravaganza. A selection of charcuterie delicacies will be available, as well as Wine and Beer. Drink tickets will be $10.00 per ticket.
