Eligibility Requirements

Only available to students in the Faculty of Engineering.

Application Deadlines + Instructions

Deadline: Applications closed for Summer 2026. Likely mid-February for Summer 2027.

Instructions: Apply on Horizons. Students must be nominated by the University of Alberta for this program. Application status and next steps will be confirmed after the application deadline. 

Fees + Costs

Placement Fee: $250 CAD

Housing Fee:  ¥2000

CUHK - Shenzhen SLR Program Fees

• Note: University of Alberta students are considered exchange students

Students are encouraged to apply for funding even if they do not have a confirmed internship to avoid missing important deadlines.
