Academic Standing and GPA
Your GPA is your Grade Point Average and is calculated differently depending on what is being assessed.
Academic Standing GPA
Calculated annually and is based on your Fall and Winter term combined average. Please familiarize yourself with the conditions of Academic Standing.
Graduation GPA
Calculated based on your most recent minimum 60 credits successfully completed toward your degree at the University of Alberta. Please familiarize yourself with graduation requirements.
Grade Point Average (GPA)
The following is a breakdown of letter grades to the 4 Point Scale. In order to stay in satisfactory academic standing, students must maintain a minimum overall GPA of 2.0 in each of their Fall/Winter terms.
