BOOK A COMPUTER
Located in 2-20X, our high performance computer lab provides gaming-quality computers and a wide range of specialized software. All machines have a large RAM capacity, and can handle data-heavy projects.
Bookings Required
All computer time must be booked. Requests can be made in-person at our service desk in 2-20 Cameron Library, or by email at dsc.library@ualberta.ca.
- Users can book up to a maximum of 10 hours per week.

- Users who require computer access for complex processing or require overnight access to collect data will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Please check with staff at the time of booking.
In-Person or Remote Access
Computers can be accessed:
- In-person during operational hours, or
- Remotely (available during operational and non-operational hours).
- For remote access, please allow up to two business days for custom login credentials to be generated.
- Access credentials will be emailed to the user.

CONNECT REMOTELY
To connect remotely to a DSC computer, you will need to install both Cisco AnyConnect VPN client and Microsoft Remote Desktop client on your remote computer.
ADDITIONAL U OF A COMPUTER LABS
The U of A provides computer access across all campuses with access to a variety of software.
U of A students, staff, and faculty can log in with their CCIDs. Visitors to the U of A can obtain access to non-DSC workstations on-campus (and most Library resources) with a Library Network Access ID.
