Prince Takamado Japan Centre for Teaching and Research

Welcome to the Prince Takamado Japan Centre for Teaching and Research (PTJC)! Supported by the Prince Takamado Japan Canada Memorial Fund, we  pursue a unique mission. From our home in the University of Alberta Faculty of Arts, we provide opportunities for interdisciplinary study and research that promote Japan Studies and situate Japan in global, transnational and comparative contexts, and we serve as the focus of a network of expertise in these areas across Canada.
