Hinamatsuri (Girls’ Day) - Collection Drive with EJCA

Hinamatsuri (Girls’ Day/Doll’s Day) is an annual festival in Japan, celebrated on March 3rd of each year. The festival is a traditional Japanese celebration honoring the healthy growth and well-being of girls.


Since 2022, the Edmonton Japanese Community Association (EJCA) has been collecting and donating period products in support of addressing period poverty every March. 


On March 11, 2026, the EJCA will be joining us at Dr. Polleri’s Book Talk, where they will be introducing their association and collecting menstrual products.
