Call for Papers—Princess Takamado Essay Contest

The Prince Takamado Japan Centre for Teaching and Research (PTJC) is pleased to announce an essay contest for graduate-level students in conjunction with the Japan Studies Association of Canada 2026 Annual Conference!

Topic: Japan studies in a Canadian Context
Awards: Two outstanding graduate students will receive awards for excellent essays
Submission Guidelines: Written in English, using APA, MLA, or Chicago citation style (1,000-1,500 words)
Presentation Requirement: Award recipients will present their papers at the JSAC 2026 Conference.

Deadline: July 27, 2026
