Get your free flu shot on campus
Free influenza vaccinations are offered to U of A students, staff and faculty with a valid health care card and ONEcard. To avoid wait times, book your appointment at one of the following clinics:
North Campus
University Health Centre*

*Influenza vaccinations available to ages 9 years and up.
University Health Centre Pharmacy

COVID immunizations available
Get both influenza and COVID vaccines in one appointment. When booking, just let us know you want both the flu and COVID shots at the same time.
COVID-19 vaccinations are offered at two locations:
- University Health Centre
- University Health Centre Pharmacy
Publicly funded COVID-19 immunizations are available to those with a valid Alberta Health Care number who meet the eligibility requirements set out by Alberta Health. We also offer privately funded COVID-19 immunizations to anyone who wants the vaccine but does not meet the eligibility requirements for the publicly funded vaccine. Private insurance may partially cover the out-of-pocket cost. Coverage varies by insurance.
Preparing For Your Appointment
- Review the date, time and location of your appointment. There are two clinics on North Campus — be sure to present yourself at the correct location.
- Follow the instructions provided in your appointment confirmation (if applicable).
- Come prepared with your ONEcard and a valid health care card.
- Wear a short-sleeved shirt and comfortable clothing on the day of your appointment.
- Plan to stay onsite for observations for at least 15 minutes after your immunization.
- Eat something before being immunized if you tend to become light-headed following injections.
