Defer an exam
This service outlines the steps students must follow to request an excused absence for missed term work or midterms, or to apply for a deferred final exam due to illness. Students must contact their instructor (for midterms/term work) or faculty (for final exams) as soon as possible. Documentation may be requested, but a medical note cannot be required. Deferred exams and excused absences are not automatically granted.
Approval of excused absences or deferred exams is at the discretion of the instructor or faculty and is not automatic.
