Group therapy
Group therapy provides students with the opportunity to work through common mental health concerns alongside others in a structured, confidential setting facilitated by registered psychologists. Groups combine psychoeducation with guided discussion, skill-building, and peer support. Participants can share experiences, learn coping strategies, and build connection and trust with others. Groups typically meet once per week for 4–8 weeks and focus on specific themes such as anxiety, perfectionism, relationship challenges, or identity-based support. Attendance at a mandatory information session is required to determine fit and eligibility before joining a group. Not all groups run every semester.
Students are expected to attend regularly, participate respectfully, and maintain confidentiality, with facilitators providing guidance and referrals as needed. I can be easier to get help via group therapy than individual therapy.
