Makerspace equipment at the Digital Scholarship Centre

The U of A Library's Digital Scholarship Centre (DSC) provides 3D printing, computer-assisted cutter-plotter machines (Cricut), and other equipment for creating models, prototypes and academic projects. Access makerspace equipment after completing the necessary certifications; Library staff are available to help with preparing models and using printing tools.

How to Access

  1. Complete mandatory online modules and makerspace certification.
  2. Prepare files/models in the appropriate format for the tool.
  3. Book makerspace equipment.
  4. Arrive at the DSC within 30 minutes of your booking.
  5. Use the booked tool to fabricate your object.
