Ombuds Internship Program

The paid intern program at the Office of the Student Ombuds gives students an opportunity to build leadership and develop careers in ombudsing and related fields, under the training and mentorship of the senior ombudspersons. The program entails four key aspects: mentorship, shadowing, debriefing of examples, and skill-building in alternative dispute resolution. It is well suited for students who enjoy working with other students, have strong listening and empathetic skills, and would be interested in networking with ombuds in higher education throughout Canada and globally.
