Plans + Reports

As a commitment to transparency and in accordance with public sector standards, the University of Alberta releases a number of reports annually. Shared Services is responsible for the following:

Compensation Disclosure

Each year, the University of Alberta shares the names, position, compensation, non-monetary benefits, and severance paid to employees and board members who earn more than the threshold set by the Government of Alberta, per the Public Sector Compensation Transparency Act and its regulation.

Executive Expense Disclosure Reports

The University of Alberta publishes the professional development, travel, hospitality and working session expenses of the Board Chair, the President, and the Vice-Presidents. Expenses are posted quarterly and the reports disclose expenses that have been approved and reimbursed at the time of disclosure.

Shared Services Five-Year Report

In its first five years, Shared Services has grown to be an essential support team for the entire university community. We are proud of the strides we’ve made in implementing systems that support the goals of the institution and its people.

Institutional Strategic Plans

Shared Services also contributes to the broader institutional strategic plans:

Shape: The U of A Strategic Plan

This plan outlines a bold vision for the University of Alberta's future.

Forward Together: The U of A People Strategy

The People Strategy represents the university’s commitment to its people. It reflects the shared aspiration of the hundreds of individuals who contributed their ideas and suggestions, and it is dedicated to the thousands whose work shapes this outstanding university.
