Governance Structure

The chart above shows the governance structure in the Department of Pediatrics.

In the department, Divisional Council functions as the senior decision‐making body. Divisional Council directs and facilitates the strategic planning and priorities of the Department of Pediatrics from the perspective of academic medicine, which includes research, medical education, faculty development and clinical affairs within the department. Members of Divisional Council include the department Chair, Associate Chairs, Divisional Directors, Assistant Chair Administration, and academic program-specific leads.

Chair's Council functions as the management and decision‐making body within the department on a day‐to‐day basis and enhances the operations of the department. Members of Chair's Council include the department Chair, Associate Chairs, and the Assistant Chair Administration.
