Elizabeth Rosolowsky is a pediatric endocrinologist. Rosolowsky was awarded a Clinical Research Seed Grant by the Women and Children's Health Research Institute with the generous support of the Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation.

The Division of Pediatric Endocrinology at the University of Alberta and Stollery Children's Hospital provides assessment, treatment, and education for infants, children and teenagers with any endocrine disorder. These conditions often result from a deficiency or excess of hormones secreted by the pituitary, thyroid, adrenal, pancreas or gonads and may affect growth, sexual and pubertal development, calcium regulation and bone health, blood sugar regulation, and/or cholesterol or lipid metabolism.

Division members are an integral part of the Stollery Pediatric Diabetes Education Centre (PDEC) which currently follows approximately 1200 children with diabetes. The PDEC is a multidisciplinary healthcare team for the education and management of children with diabetes. The PDEC also serves as a resource for healthcare professionals throughout Northern Alberta and the Northwest Territories.

The PDEC healthcare team is actively involved in diabetes research and division members are part of the Alberta Diabetes Institute. Other areas of research include childhood obesity, Prader-Willi syndrome, bone health, growth hormone deficiency, and endocrine complications of childhood cancer therapy. The Division of Endocrinology has a subspecialty training program that is fully accredited by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
