Society of Women in Urology Resident Award

Dr. Natalie Jacox receives SWIU Resident Travel Award

1 November 2023

Dr. Natalie Jacox has been selected as the 2024 Society of Women in Urology Resident Travel Award Recipient. The award lets Dr. Jacox attend the SWIU 13th Annual Clinical Mentoring Conference and the opportunity to be the Northeastern Section Representative for the conference.

She says, "It will be an amazing opportunity to meet female urologists, especially as we currently have no female urologists practicing adult urology in Edmonton (or Calgary) so it will be a great chance to see that representation and get to know people with similar interests in advocacy, education and urology in general."

Residency Program Director Dr. Peter Metcalfe says, "We are very proud of the international recognition Natalie has received for her achievements in advocacy."

SWIU members have diverse backgrounds and are leaders in their communities, practices, and profession. They join together with one mission to advance women in urology and optimize their success and support the professional development and career advancement of women urologists and urologic researchers through education, advocacy, and mentorship.
