Jordana Williams MSc learner

Jordana Williams develops leaders. An MSc student with many years experience as a lab manager, she has trained graduate learners, post-doctoral fellows, new employees, and mentors summer students. Jordana, who represented the Department of Surgery in the Canadian Association of Chairs of Surgical Research Golden Scalpel Research Award contest last year, says of her leadership experience, “I have benefited greatly from these experiences in terms of my perspective on research and collaborating with others.” She researches a non-invasive method of testing for HPV in oropharyngeal cancer throat swabs to improve diagnosis and disease surveillance.
