Continuous Administrative Service Improvement Program (CASIP)

The Continuous Administrative Service Improvement Program (CASIP) is a program of work led by the University Initiatives Office which seeks to improve and streamline finance, student administration, information management and reporting, and human resources administrative processes and the underlying technologies that support these processes.

Improvements will be facilitated through the following five streams of work: Service Governance StreamInformation Governance & Reporting Stream, Finance Stream, Technology Stream and Human Resources Administrative Process Stream. Work will be supported by subject matter experts in Shared Services; Information Services & Technology; Finance, Procurement and Planning; Human Resources, Health Safety and Environment; Performance, Analytics and Institutional Research; and Student Services.

Research Stream: Improvements within research administrative services are not in scope for the Continuous Administrative Service Improvement Program. Work in this area is being advanced by the Office of the Vice-President (Research and Innovation) with the support of the University Initiatives Office. For more information, visit research administration process redesign.

What we're working on

In consultation with the university community, the University Initiatives Office (UIO) has identified and prioritized improvements to administrative processes that will have the most significant impact across the institution. Browse the below list to see projects we're moving forward to improve administrative processes.

Note: Each project will deliver a series of incremental changes with all changes being completed by the expected completion date. Dates are subject to change based on new information.

Engagement & Consultations

Engagements for this program of work began in December 2022 with leaders and subject matter experts in university services and faculties to gather input on the university's current state, priorities, challenges, and desired future state. As we move forward to improve university administrative processes, we encourage you to join us and share your feedback at our upcoming engagement sessions.
