Ualberta Librarian Erika Banski and Joseph Pungar

Dr. Joseph Pungur, editor-in-chief of the Hungarian World Encyclopedia (Edmonton: Corvin History Society, 2013), visited the Wirth Institute on July 23 to donate digital copies of the encyclopedia to the institute and the University of Alberta Libraries. (Pictured: Erika Banski, UAlberta librarian and Dr. Pungur). The work contains over 6,000 entries written by 100 contributors from around the world. It concentrates not only on Hungarian history but on the histories of Hungarians abroad and men and women of Hungarian ancestry as well as people born in Hungary.

The Wirth Institute thanks Dr. Pungur for his donation.
