2023 Recipient
We are proud to introduce Dave Filipchuk ‘84 BSc(CivE), president and CEO of PCL — Canada’s largest general construction company with an annual revenue of $9 billion and projects spanning the globe.
On a Saturday, Dave Filipchuk graduated from the University of Alberta. On the following Monday, he started as a field engineer at PCL. He thought he’d try it “for a little while” — and now, 39 years later — he leads an organization that executes, in any given year, more than a thousand projects. His relentless focus on PCL's future, along with a deep desire to support and develop his team, reveals his leadership mindset and commitment to building lasting legacies.
