Stay healthy and book your flu shot today

Influenza immunization is more important this season than ever before. A flu shot will help you stay as healthy as you can and protect those around you too. In Alberta, influenza immunizations are available for free starting Oct. 19 — no provincial health number needed! Book online now or call your pharmacist or physician to arrange for a flu shot appointment.

Our U of A North Campus flu clinic is also open this year, by appointment only. Students and staff in Edmonton with a valid health care card and ONEcard can receive an influenza immunization for free in the Dinwoodie Lounge during their appointment time. Book your appointments between Oct. 19 and Nov. 5 through the University Health Centre.

Exceptional international university business travel has an updated process

Travel outside Canada by staff, faculty, and students on university business remains suspended unless the travel is considered vital to the academic mission of the university. Those that meet the exceptions have new processes to follow. See International Travel During COVID-19 for more information.

What to do if you feel sick

As we head into influenza season, remember: if you are concerned about your health, use the COVID-19 Self-Assessment for Albertans. If you’re feeling sick, stay home and follow Alberta Health Services advice. U of A students and staff should also follow U of A sick protocols
