Augustana Cohort

15 seats are reserved for students studying at Augustana campus. The application deadline is the same for all students, February 1, 2026.  Beginning in Fall 2024, the CSD Department has offered a distributed model of education for the MScSLP program, with 15 seats available at the University of Alberta's Augustana campus in Camrose. More information on the expansion.

Students at both campuses (Edmonton and Augustana) complete the same core program of required courses. Each campus may offer unique elective opportunities reflective of local expertise and community partnerships in addition to the online electives available to all. We endeavour to place all students in their first campus choice upon admission to the program; however, please be aware that we cannot guarantee there will be adequate spots available. Some students may end up being placed in their second choice.

Our goal is to get to know you better in terms of your interest in Speech-Language Pathology and alignment with the values of the department.

Admissions is a THREE STEP process to ensure documents arrive in the department on time

Please note that the admissions cycle for Fall 2026 entry has closed.
Starting November 1, 2026, you can initiate your application for the Fall 2027 term by logging into the Graduate Admissions Portal (GAP).

A non-refundable, mandatory application fee is required BEFORE your application is officially submitted. 

Applicant referees will be sent a link via email once the application has been submitted and the application fee paid.

  • STEP ONE: Begin your online application after November 1 for the Master of Science (course). Be sure that your legal name (first and last) is spelled correctly. An email is automatically generated from the U of A after submitting your application. This email is very important as it has a link to access the Application Portal. Through this portal students can upload all required documents until February 1, at 11:59 pm. These documents cannot be replaced. Please ensure you upload the correct documents (with Fall 2026 grades, if applicable).
  • STEP TWO: You will be required to provide email addresses of your referees for them to submit their letters of reference online. Referees will be provided with the options: decline reference OR upload letter of reference. Please ask your referees to use the 2026 MScSLP Reference Form and upload that file as their letter. You will be notified of any declines and/or submissions. You will also be able to manage changes to references, e.g. typos in email addresses and or change of reference.
  • STEP THREE: Check the GAP regularly for notifications. Do not refer to Beartracks.
