Junior Instructor Program

Two DiscoverE junior instructors

Are you a Grade 12 student looking for an exciting summer volunteer opportunity? The Fred Otto DiscoverE program's junior instructor program is designed for students entering their first year here at the University of Alberta who want to share their passion for STEM!

Junior Instructors are assigned to a camp every week and assist the instructors by engaging with campers and helping in the presentation and delivery of camp projects. Junior Instructors take on additional responsibilities throughout the week to help with the general operation of the camp. These responsibilities may involve leading games, organizing materials, assisting campers, and more!

Upon completion of the full program, you will be eligible to receive a scholarship of $1500. You will also be given the opportunity to meet current engineering students and learn more about the program!
