Assessment and Evaluation
Consultation service and support
- Development and design of assessment instruments that provides fair and valid measures of our students' achievement
Examination support
- Item writing, examination scoring, item analysis, item banking using LXR software, OSCE development and analysis, optical scanning and standard setting
- Assists course directors by reviewing block examinations and examination results
- Assistance with the development of custom OSCE checklists, including checklist development, scanning and scoring
- Supports the MMI process by developing, scanning and scoring the scoring sheets
- Reviews and confirms course marks for the undergraduate medical program
- Maintains faculty item banks
- Converting faculty item banks to LXR software
- Works with committees to develop the final fourth-year examinations, both OSCE and comprehensive exams
Statistical and research consults
- Assistance on research study design, data collection and processing, and statistical analysis; survey development and the development of custom data collection forms
- Provided statistical and research consulting to faculty and students
Faculty evaluations
- Assist in the retrieval of course/instructor evaluations prior to 2012
- Works with committees to develop the final fourth-year examinations, both OSCE and comprehensive exams
- Maintains faculty item banks
- Converting faculty item banks to LXR
