After Degree Prerequisites

As outlined in the Admission Requirements section of the University Calendar, specific prerequisite courses must be completed in order to be eligible for admission to the BScN-After Degree program.

The following prerequisite courses must be completed, and transcripts submitted by the June 15 deadline:

English (3 units)
Human Anatomy (3 units)
Human Physiology (3 units)
Medical Microbiology (3 units)
Statistics (3 units)

Human Anatomy, Human Physiology and Medical Microbiology courses require a minimum grade of C+ and must be completed within 5 years of the program start date.

You can complete these courses at any accredited institution.

University of Alberta

Many courses are available online through the Open Studies program.

Use the Transfer Credit Search Tool to find equivalent courses.

If you’re taking courses outside of Canada, please submit course descriptions for evaluation.

These courses must be completed and transcripts received by the document deadline for the term you are applying for.
