Communities of Practice
Project Management Community of Practice
The Project Management Community of Practice brings together project managers and practitioners from across the institution to strengthen delivery, share knowledge and build a consistent approach to project work. They meet monthly, offering both in-person and virtual sessions to ensure broad accessibility and participation. Participation is open to anyone—whether you are a formal project manager or someone who manages projects as part of your role or is simply interested in learning more about project management. Through these sessions, the community provides a forum to discuss emerging practices, align on tools and templates and learn from both successes and challenges, all with the goal of improving project outcomes and building institutional capability.
Those interested in participating can reach out to Gail Breum, manager, Project Delivery, for more information.
Service Design Community of Practice
The Service Design Community of Practice is a growing, cross-campus network of innovators and problem-solvers committed to improving how services are designed and delivered across the university.
Bringing together individuals focused on user experience, systems thinking, and design-led approaches, the SDCoP creates opportunities to learn, share, and apply practical methods that enhance the experiences of those who study, work, and visit U of A campus communities.
