Office of Strategic Transformation and Delivery
The Office of Strategic Transformation and Delivery (OSTAD) is the engine room for the organization’s most ambitious goals. We don’t just plan for the future; we build the roadmap to get there. Our mission is to bridge the gap between high-level vision and tangible results by driving large-scale, cross-functional initiatives that redefine how we operate. We are a team of problem-solvers, dot-connectors and catalysts.
Who we are
The placement of this function within the university’s organizational structure is a critical decision that signals its scope and influence. OSTAD reports directly to both the provost and vice-president (Academic) and vice-president (University Services, Operations and Finance). This links the transformation and continuous improvement function to the core mission of the university along with the administrative units required to support the university’s core mission of teaching and research.
The transformation and continuous improvement function is held accountable for tangible results. This includes delivering on prioritized strategic initiatives, achieving measurable improvements against baseline metrics (e.g., efficiency gains, cost savings, improved service levels, enhanced student outcomes), effectively managing its program and project portfolio and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
