Why study this program?
Our bachelor of music, performance-based pedagogy program combines intensive studies in instrument or voice performance, with studies in music pedagogy, music history, theory and ensembles. This major is designed to prepare students for careers in many different facets of music such as: performance, music education, music therapy, arts administration and musicology. This degree offers students the opportunity to focus their studies in one of four streams: voice, keyboard, conducting, or comprehensive music.

Just one hour southeast of Edmonton, this community-focused campus is home to the Augustana Vikings and over 900 students from across Canada and around the world. Augustana offers degree programs in an intimate and personalized setting, with an average class size of 22 people.

Hannah is a student in our bachelor of music program, vocal performance stream, and a member of The Augustana Choir. With hopes of earning her master’s in music therapy, Hannah believes the heart of the program lies with its inspiring professors and instructors.
