The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) has regulated the practice of engineering, geology and geophysics in Alberta since 1920. It is worth taking a few minutes to browse their site to learn more about the field of engineering and the requirements to receive your Professional Engineer (PEng) certification. There is also a very useful job board provided in their "Careers" section.
