Nominate an MMI trainee

Nominate an MMI trainee for the John Thibault Good Citizen Awards or the John Thibault Conference Attendance Support. Deadline: Sept 30, 2021

07 September 2021

John Thibault Award

Open to MSc and PhD students in the Department of Medical Microbiology & Immunology (MMI), Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, University of Alberta.

In May of 2014, we experienced the tragic loss of John Thibault, a graduate student in the MMI program. John had a strong passion for research and great sense of community and good citizenship. Every year since, we fondly remember John by presenting (1) good citizenship awards and (2) conference attendance supports, to current MMI trainees. We now ask you to please take this opportunity to nominate MMI trainees for a citizenship award, and/or to apply for conference attendance support. These awards are made possible by kind donations from John’s family and friends, and by the Li Ka Shing Institute of Virology.
