The Undergraduate Summer Students' Research Program

The Undergraduate Summer Students' Research Program

The Undergraduate Summer Students' Research Program in the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry at the University of Alberta provides undergraduate and medical students the opportunity to participate in summer research under the supervision of a faculty member. Summer research positions are available for two, three or four months each year between May and August. Approximately 200 students participate annually, making this the largest program of its kind in Canada.

Students are funded from multiple sources including faculty endowments, the UA Office of the Provost and VP Academic, Alberta Innovates-Health Solutions (AIHS), and the Northern Alberta Clinical Trials and Research Centre (NACTRC).
