Program Requirements & Resources

Below is a summary of program requirements for both MSc and PhD degrees. Supervisors may set additional requirements (e.g., additional course work).

MSc Program Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 course (3 credits) in Critical Reading/Thinking OR Background Knowledge
  • Active participation in Grand Rounds
  • Student's are expected to attend seminars as much as possible
  • Contribution to Research Day
  • Ethics 
    • GPS - Academic Integrity and Ethics Training
      • INT D 710 (within first term)
  • Professional Development (8 h & IDP)
  • GPS Progress Report (1x/year)
  • Supervisory committee meeting reports (at least 1x/year)
  • MSc thesis
  • Final oral examination

PhD Program Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 courses (6 credits) in Critical Reading/Thinking AND Background Knowledge
  • Active participation in Grand Rounds
  • Student's are expected to attend seminars as much as possible
  • Contribution to Research Day
  • Ethics 
    • GPS - Academic Integrity and Ethics Training
      • INT D 710 (within first term)
      • INT D 720 (within year 1)
  • Professional Development (8 h & IDP)

  • Candidacy exam (by year 3)
