Sharlene Wolbeck Minke

I have a deep understanding of health promotion practice and program evaluation. I began my career as a community health nurse with a particular focus on mental health and crisis intervention, and school health promotion.

In 2001, I established SWM Consulting Services, a program evaluation and applied research firm. I earned the Credentialed Evaluator designation from the Canadian Evaluation Society in 2013.

In my consulting practice, I work with diverse stakeholders in many sectors, such as health, human services, children's services, justice/crime prevention and recreation. I have extensive experience coordinating complex processes across multiple levels of government and community.

In all of my work, I am committed to collaborative, participatory processes. I blend respectful engagement with evidence-informed approaches to create meaningful, context-specific evaluations.

In 2011, I joined the School of Public Health. Over the years, I have worked with students from different master of public health specializations. Currently I teach a graduate course in Health Promotion Planning and Evaluation.

In my leisure time, I enjoy an active lifestyle. I love to spend time outdoors with my husband, our two children and the family dog!
