Student Groups

The Student Design Association (SDA)

The Student Design Association represents current undergraduate students and alumni of the University of Alberta, who have taken design courses during their degree. We actively work to stimulate community involvement, create partnerships with other organizations, and host events for students and staff, with the goal of providing the support and opportunities necessary to help design students find success.

The Visual Arts Student Association (VASA)

VASA, The Visual Arts Student Association, is a student group at the University of Alberta managed and run by students in the Bachelor of Fine Arts program. It was first established as a means to raise funds for the Bachelor of Fine Arts Graduation Exhibitions, but has since evolved to also include other exhibitions and community events. Its current mandate is to advocate for students in the Bachelor of Fine Arts program and to create opportunities through which the research they undertake in their studios can be brought forward to the community. VASA strives to promote the visual arts within the university and the greater Edmonton community.

The Art and Design Graduate Student Association is intended as a platform for the graduate students of the University of Alberta Department of Art and Design to organize student-run activities.
