The 4 Feathers of Indigenous Wisdom

In the framework of the exploration of the history, knowledge, and rich practices of the indigenous peoples of Canada, the AUFSJ (Student Association of Faculté Saint-Jean) invites students to take part in training sessions on "the 4 feathers of Indigenous Wisdom" (les 4 plumes de la Sagesse Autochtone) presented by Isabelle Garceau.

In the framework of the exploration of the history, knowledge, and rich practices of the indigenous peoples of Canada, the AUFSJ (Student Association of Faculté Saint-Jean) invites students to take part in training sessions on "the 4 feathers of Indigenous Wisdom" (les 4 plumes de la Sagesse Autochtone) presented by Isabelle Garceau, Therapist, Coach, Facilitator of rituals, dance, workshops and drum circle.

During this training, participants will be invited to learn about indigenous teachings through the 4 Feathers of Indigenous Wisdom, the Medicine Wheel and the Circle symbol. The training offers both theoretical lessons and concrete tools for living these values, integrating them into our lives and then passing them on to those around us. Through different tools and lessons; singing, drumming, observation and sharing, participants will leave with their personal "medicine bag" filled with new knowledge and inspiration in order to live more in harmony with themselves and their environment.

This training will take place in 5 sessions (always from 2 p.m. to 3.15 p.m.):

  • Friday, January 8 - Discover the values ​​of the Circle through the teachings of Native Americans. - Initiation to the drum and native song - Initiation to the Medicine Wheel
  • Friday, January 15 - Discovery and teachings around the first pen of Indigenous Wisdom in connection with the direction of the East
  • Friday, January 22 - Discovery and teachings around the second pen of Indigenous Wisdom in connection with the direction of the South
  • Friday, January 29 - Discovery and teachings around the third pen of Indigenous Wisdom in connection with the direction of the West
  • Friday, February 5 - Discovery and teachings around the fourth pen of Indigenous Wisdom in connection with the direction of the North - Closing of the workshops

Isabelle Garceau

Isabelle is a natural designer, facilitator and animator. Passionate about people, she has created and collaborated in several training programs in personal development, dance, expressive movement and creative processes in social, school and community settings. She created Cercle de Vie, a company that teaches and shares Indigenous values ​​throughout Canada and elsewhere in America through workshops, ceremonies and experiences weaving the hearts of the great human family.
